Words Of Wisdom For New Parents
I thought that a few words of wisdom for new parents would be a good idea for an article. However, the best words I could find were 'DON'T PANIC' closely followed by 'ALL EFFORTS ARE GOOD' and 'NEVER LET ANYONE TELL YOU THAT YOU MADE A MISTAKE'
'DON'T PANIC' - the best words of wisdom for new parents
There are many different aspects of parenting, and every child will find its own way of scaring you, whether they don't eat, run away from you in the street, think every dog is a friend, … and many, many more which parents will have sleepless nights over. Whatever your child does and however close you are to wanting to sit on the spot and cry your eyes out, remember that other parents (possible ones you have metand others you never will meet) have been there before and survived. The other problem with sitting down and crying is that your little gem may be wreaking even more havoc in those moments of self indulgence. In these moments, remember the 'don't panic' words of wisdom for new parents, and take your child home or to a friends house and have a long moan about them.
'ALL EFFORTS ARE GOOD EFFORTS'
It doesn't matter if you got it wrong, at least you tried. This is something you will probably be telling your children all their lives, but now it is essential words of wisdom for new parents – because most of us have still not learnt to live by this mantra. Another interpretation of the same mantra is 'whatever you do, do it with confidence'! Since we don’t expect our children to be perfect why do we think that we need to be? Even Britney has good moments and despite everything I am sure that her children still love her, and I am sure that you are doing a better job than her.
'NEVER LET ANYONE TELL YOU THAT YOU MADE A MISTAKE'
The chances are that you will know if you have got it wrong, so being told will be like salt in a wound. However, the real reason why these are such important words of wisdom for new parents is that anyone who tells you this thinks they know it all, but the truth is that they will never know your children better than you. Every parent needs advice, and some of us look for it more than others, however, advice should be just that – 'maybe try doing this…', 'next time perhaps it would be better to…' this is how caring people help you. Kind people will never tell you that you were wrong!
My final words of wisdom for new parents are that you just need to love them, care for them and do your very best, and then you will do just fine. |
