Recipes For Toddlers

always want to join in, especially when it is not convenient!  It is a hard balance to keep them from being under your feet and at the same time not to discourage them from cooking and helping.  Also if you send them away when you are cooking there is a good chance that they will either get up to mischief or they will watch television!

 First Recipes For

have a short attention span, so you need to start with something quick, easy and fun.  I would suggest that every parent starts with making playdo with their toddler.  This is for two reasons; firstly, it is really easy, secondly there is the reward of getting to play with it at the end.  As recipes for go, this is very informative; it teaches them about measuring, mixing, kneading, textures and temperatures.  Successful recipes for have to move on from one stage to the next quickly before enthusiasm is lost; in this one the mixture goes from dry to sticky and then after a quick blitz in the wok it comes back smooth and warm.  (1 cup salt, 2 cups plain flour, 4 tea spoons cream of tartar, 2 tablespoons oil, 2 cups water – mix it all together, stir in a warm wok until it easily leaves the sides of the wok)

More Advanced Recipes For

Successful recipes for are about keeping them interested.  This is a great biscuit recipe because you use two bowls; one for you and one for your toddler.

Your ingredients:

5 tablespoons flour

4 tablespoons icing sugar

125ml ground almonds

¼ teaspoon backing powder

Your ingredients:

45g butter

2 tablespoons demerara sugar

1 egg yolk

Finally you will need cake decorations.

First you will need to line a baking tray with some baking parchment.

Then get your toddler to sieve all their ingredients into a bowl and then give them a wooden spoon to mix with.  While they are playing with the sieve you need to cream your sugar and butter together and then add the egg yolk.  Now you need your toddler to spoon the contents from their bowl into yours while you mix it all together.

Now you will need to break off small amounts of the mixture and place them on the baking tray, about the size of a large marble.  Then get you toddler to decorate the biscuits with the cake decorations.  Bake in the oven for about 5 minutes at 160 centigrade.

These recipes for are successful because they are simple; you can adapt many recipes for once you have got used to cooking together.
